    With his art, the hyper- productive painter truly goes to the bottom of each theme he broaches. His series on the Great War comprises more than 200 works through which he tells us about the lives of his ancestors and that of many other actors of this historical page in historie.
    His primers, series on cabarets, writers, aviators, four seasons, painters... are so many occasions for him to thoroughly embrace the subject that touches and inspires him.
    Jean-Marc Mellier never stops creating, encouraging us to reflect, jostling us, always teaching us more about himself and about ourselves.
